Fun at Worksite Center Summer Camps
Are you looking for a summer camp for your school-aged child? Did you know that many of the NY State Worksite Child Care Centers offer summer camp for children ages 5 – 12?
All of the worksite summer camps are based out of the child care centers so they are conveniently located at various state sites. All the summer camps offer weekly themes to ensure your child will be entertained while gaining knowledge on a variety of topics in a caring environment.
What questions should I ask when I call about enrolling my child for summer camp?
Dependent Care Advantage Account — Save Money on Summer Camp Expenses
This is the time of year when state employees begin registering their school-age children (12- years-old and younger) for summer day camp, resulting in a change in care provider or an increase in their child care expenses. Both of these situations are eligible changes in status that will allow state employee parents to enroll in the Dependent Care Advantage Account (DCAAccount).
State employee parents who are not currently enrolled in the 2010 DCAAccount may be losing out on the pre-tax benefit and the Employer Contribution, which provides up to $800 to help offset child care costs. In order to take advantage of this money-saving benefit, to help pay for summer day camp, enroll in the DCAAccount today!
For more information or to enroll with a Change in Status, log on to www.flexspend.state.ny.us or call 1-800-358-7202.
